Hmm... I'm not sure what level that is... my brother got 4 A2 levels (though one was General studies which is gay) and I believe 5 As at AS level... (one was General studies which was gay at that point...)

Over here we do 7 subjects usually.

You're marked on your best six, which means I can get a D in Irish but still get full points.

I thought you only did 2 or 3 subjects over there?

AS level (the one I'm at) we do between 3 and 5 (I did 4) Plus General Studies.
Then at A2 (Next year) we have to drop one (unless you already are doing 3 subjects)... And then General Studies (but that is if we passed AS level... but then, it's General Studies...)

General studies is a class we are forced to take up and takes up one of the 5 "Study" periods we get... Universities don't accept it or anything... and the lessons aren't important at all... unless they can teach you to be pretentious...
For e.g. My brother didn't go to a single lesson, the exam (which is a sort of essay question) was about Ballet... he got an A...

We're forced to do maths, Irish and english..... And we're forced to do a third language, french, german or spanish usually.

My school doesn't do spanish...

At my school, we had 4 classes. We had to have English and some form of math (until you finished the regular maths, then you had to take AP (Advanced Placement) courses.... NOT FUN.
