Forum Problems.

Upon... today really... I have decided... that future topics should refrain from going off-topic. Unless in the random section, which really has no topic. It is too hectic here right now. People are getting posts for silly things due to about 10 different topics with complete random stuff on it (looks at own post count (I was good until about.... 1100))
I think it is just beginning to make the forum look messy. Topics with over 10 pages when from about the third post on the topic the general idea has been ditched and has gone down the long dark corridor of anarchy.
I have probably seemed like a hard arse by deleting comments that are going widely off-topic... some are more obvious than others whilst others are long comments that have nothing to do with the topic apart from like the first few words.
It was whilst doing this to a few posts that it turns out that the "Moderators" (The Jr masters) Don't seem to do much. Sure we only have like, 3 people posting on a regular basis but I think more people, the 10 people that seem to come on the forum daily, might post if there was something to post on instead of just the same topics which are now about nothing.
I hope I can count on you to behave... I am still going to have to try and bring back the guild by recruiting people. I am currently going with level 5x that I either find on the boat or just walking around. I still add every guildless person I see in MPQ, but they normally stay for a few minutes.

I agree with Chris, and honestly, I didn't think about that... people not posting because most of the topics are, well, off-topic...

Yeah, you may/may not have noticed.... but those like 8 topics with no topic anymore.... they seem to have died, non? I think I started behaving when I deleted Kev's post sometime ago.... or when I have to delete/Edit messages due to about 5 posts.... or more in a row....

We should start some new topics with the mission to keep them on topic... And at least 1 random topic in the latest topic in the portal page.

agreed, i check the forum almost everyday. if the off-topic talk would go away, i think i would post more frequently
(doesn't mean that all the off-topic isn't funny or something, cuz most of the time it is funny, but annoying )

oh and btw, im downloading Runes of magic atm
watched some vids and it has alot of things in common with WoW.

I wonder why WoW is so popular. You have to pay to play it... I think I would pass up good graphics and plot to not have to pay for it...

One of the people I used to know played it and had a really high lvl character that she built up for a couple of years. She sold it on ebay for about 419 euros, and 288 pounds, and still didn't get break even for the amount she paid to play the game.

im downloading it as well, it actually is almost a copy of wow... But it would be awesome to combine the gameplay of wow with the community of Maple
