lol i went trough a lot of trouble to start calling it soccer. You see in my country we call it Voetbal. You may see how much Football and Voetbal are alike. (Foot=Voet and Ball=bal)

So i'd love to call it Football

Over here we have two types of football, Gaelic football and yours. I dont see why americans call american football football as most of the time they have the ball in their hands.

yeah American football is just some cheap knock-off of Rugby. If anything it would seem like they tried to mix 2 british (at least i think Rugby was one Britain) to get one really bad sport (no offense or anything to the Americans)

lol quite honestly, watching a bunch of huge, bulky men play a game of long distance catch and tackle each other when they don't get the ball is really funny.

Also backing up the "it is football not "soccer"" argument. Germans call it Fussball or something (i no longer DO german) and the french call it le foot....

And about the English making the English, that's true, but if the Dutch wouldn't have sold that piece of land in Amerika back then (for a quarter if I remember well) then the whole country would speak Dutch
