FMA blues...

If any of you saw the FMA movie....

Did you find the twist extremely depressing....

As in how the transmutation circles worked?

How it is because of dead people and stuff?
I thought the film was okay... a bit odd to say it is Nazi Germany.... so how would they get this technology... or even have time to invest into research.... It also sucked how their father died... he was awesome.... but apparently he was like 99% blood.... Gluttony was... gay.... I thought the best line EVER from the film was in the story at the beginning where the man says, "Your rules don't apply to me, I'm a man of science!"
I could try to use that in sports.... I'd get odd looks....

To be honest a hellofalot of stuff was quite depressing in FMA!

But if Greed did do that... then couldn't he have made himself human like their dream..... and most of the point of the anime...?

Also Also, I think we can all agree that the ending of the FMA WAS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, that was pretty sexy and stuff.... Apart from when Ed.... by Envy... who I always thought was female.... odd.....

I guess it was to make Ed blend in... but I mean, that Red Coat/cape thing is what made him unique.... I so want one... just like it.... it would be awesome....

Yea there was two homunculi that I always got mixed up with cause they both had spiky hair

Roy Mustang is the one with the gloves.... that makes things go boom.....

Greed is the short fat one.... who can make people die by making gun noises (only once apparently) and has mega acidic saliva... also has a thing for Lust..... Because he doesn't stop talking about her..... I think.... but yeah... short, bald, fat, big forearms....

Envy was the one that turned out to be Hoenhime's son.... but was the thing with green long hair that had it coming out in long spikes.... I think the other is Wrath.... the annoying small boy.... that stole Ed's arm and leg... sure it meant that Ed is now even sexier.... but still.....

I think Greed is the "Ultimate Shield" the one who hass the carbon skin..... that is then stabbed by Ed.... but then everyone is stabbed by ed at some point....

Well yeah.... He could change his hand to whatever the crap he wants..... apart from a real hand.... But you'd think that changing it back into a hand would be very fiddly with all the wires so he can move the fingers....

I guess so.... But then... there is the whole Equivalent exchange thing that only applies once every know and then.... if something of equal or greater value needs to be lost... then hand into sharp object... fine.... but sharp object into hand..... that doesn't seem equal... I would prefer to have a hand than a sharp object...
the whole Equivalent Exchange aspect of FMA is slightly messed up just because it is really hard to work around meaning you would probably have to have a lot of raw materials like different elements and stuff.... one thing that came to mind suddenly... Sloth.... the way she "died" was being turned into Ethanol.... but.... Ed turned Water.... into Ethanol.... Sure.... there is Oxygen and Hydrogen in Ethanol.... but unless we used up some of the floor.... where did the carbon come from... and don't say from the woman... because she was in water form at that point....

Equivalent trade isn't as much to do with the chemicals around, Chris. Because there'll be little bits of whatever element somewhere, especially cause Ed uses no transmutation circle he can probably use things from really really far away.

It is more that something can't have more or less mass than the other thing created!

So it's perfectly possible to change his hand into anything and back again, he'd simply have to change the density!

It's hard to remember how everything went...

You probably meant shape of the object.... but even then... there are still flaws to the drawing then.... because if that is so.... when people make things come out of walls... there will only be a slight dip in the wall when it is actually REALLY big coming out of the wall... This can be shown best in the movie when Ed and Al are riding their pillar up into the sky but no crater forming.....

No, with the wall and tower thing, that's what I mean by changing density!

Because the lower the density, the higher the volume, but the mass stays the same, hence equivalent trade.

So the object becomes bigger, the mss stays the same, but the mass per unit of volume gets lower....

But... For the mass to stay the same... there would be a limit as to how large you could make it.... for the mass to stay the same... that means it would slowly become hollower and hollower until it was like 1 molecule thick....

He might use his blood in his transmutation as part of it...

So his blood is included in the mass.

But for him to use his blood.... there would have to be an open wound. More specifically... an open wound ON the rock... and the required minerals in the blood are very minimal.... so you could get... an extra centimeter...... But then, I guess there is not only just the rocks from the place they were in (which I thought was underground, so why could a plane thing get in) but from the entirety of Shamballa.... I mean... Ed is like super special awesome, he could EASILY transmute the entire globe of what I assume to be Shamballa into.... a rod..... or a road between two other planets... he has no limitations.... he is the freaking Fullmetal Alchemist! It is named after him! He is unvincible! part from when he died.... then his brother threw away his life to save Ed then Ed threw away his life to save Al.... (That bit was sooo sexy).
