Warrior FAQ Empty Warrior FAQ

All credit to Ragnarok317 and TheOneFOmar of Gamefaqs. I've simply edited it for accessibility.

Strength: Everything else.
Dexterity: Controversial, see below.
Intelligence: As low as possible.
Luck: As low as possible.

Note:
There are many ways to handle your Warriors' dex; dexless, low-dex, average dex, and high-dex, with the best typically being low-dex, and the absolute worst being high-dex. You'll want to figure out how much you'll want your end-game cap to be. The most common caps tend to be 4, 10, 40, 50, and 60. 4 dex being "dexless", anything higher than 4 and below 60 is considered "low-dex", with 60 being "normal-dex"; and the absolute highest that you'll ever want to go under any circumstances. Anything higher than 60 is considered "high-dex", and very bad.. To determine what you'll want your cap to be, you'll have to take a long look at the funds you have available to you, and what monsters you'll want to train on. Remember, lower dex is higher damage.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For your unfunded average character this is the path to be taken:

10- 1 into Improving HP Recovery (1 total)
11- 3 into Improving HP Recovery (4 total)
12- 1 into Improving HP Recovery (5 total), 2 into Improving Max HP (2 total)
13- 3 into Improving Max HP (5 total)
14- 3 into Improving Max HP (8 total)
15- 2 into Improving Max HP (10 maxed), 1 into Power Strike (1 total)
16- 3 into Slash Blast (3 total)
17- 3 into Slash Blast (6 total)
18- 3 into Slash Blast (9 total)
19- 3 into Slash Blast (12 total)
20- 3 into Slash Blast (15 total)
21- 3 into Slash Blast (18 total)
22- 2 into Slash Blast (20, maxed), 1 in Power Strike (2 total)
23- 3 into Power Strike (5 total)
24- 3 into Power Strike (8 total)
25- 3 into Power Strike (11 total)
26- 3 into Power Strike (14 total)
27- 3 into Power Strike (17 total)
28- 3 into Power Strike (20 total)
29- Anything you want
30- Anything you want

There are many variations that you can use on this build. For instance, you can max Power Strike before working on Slash Blast, leveling just tends to be faster with a mob attack at your disposal. Keep in mind that you need one point of Power Strike to activate Slash Blast, the last 6 points are totally optional. In fact, all three non-maxed skills are essentially useless. There is no reason not to use potions at higher levels, so Recovery is out. There is also no reason to use Endure for the same reason. Iron Body blocks very little damage, with defence being such worthless stat in general within MapleStory, so it is also moot. It does cancel out the defense penalty of Rage, a Fighter’s skill, but then again, it is very little extra damage.

Important!
Always max Improving Max HP as soon as possible, as it increases how much HP you gain at every level-up. If you don’t max this first, then you will lose a lot of potential HP at higher levels.

General Information
An early warriors life involves being KS material for just about every other class. However upon third jobs, one will see a big difference in abilities and it only gets better. As one approaches fourth job, damage increases drastically, as does playstyle with certain classes.

Fighters
Fighter's have the highest HP of the Warriors. They use swords or (one cannot use both) axes. Axes have a large damage range, but hit damage incosistently. Swords on the other hand hit consistently and do more damage on average, but are more expensive. Scroll wise it's 500k for a sword 60% vs 200k for an axe. In the end it's up to personal taste as both sets of weapons look good. Fighters get a unique skill Rage, which adds 10 weapon attack, but remember there are potions that give 12 weapon attack, deeming this skill useless for the rich. The third job comes with a combo attack acting as a buff, increasing damage and allowing you to use your new attacks: Panic, which does a very large amount of damage to a single enemy, or Coma, which does a large amount to 6 enemies and has a chance to stun them.
If you want to see large numbers, go Fighter.

Pages
Pages are pretty much identical to Fighters, except Rage is replaced by Threaten, a very slightly more useful skill. Threaten lowers up to 5 enemies' attack and defense by 20%, so can help save on potions if used defensively. In the third job, Pages advance to become a White Knight and get Elemental Charges, which can be amazing for training. You charge your weapon with either fire, ice, or lightning, which allows you to train on a wide variety of monsters, but at the same time can limit your training considerably. White Knights also get another skill called "Charge Blow" which is a mob attack that expels the charge you're using in exchange for doing heavy damage to a group of 6 enemies whilst having a high chance of stunning them. Essentially the same deal as Fighters, except Pages use blunt weapons and swords. Swords are expensive, blunt weapons aren’t. See the fighter section for more info.
If you want a more consistent third job, WK is for you.

Spearman
Spearman is a long and boring path, their weapons are highly inconsistent until third job, they're even slower than Pages and Fighters, and the entire second job is basically just getting skills you won't be using until third job. Spearman is a class for mobs of enemies, both in second job due to the range of their weapons, and third job with the amazing mobbing skills they receive. In third job, Priests almost always party with Dragon Knights due to Hyper Body, which increases your max HP and MP for a short while, this affects everyone in the party, which is completely useless. In the third job, Spear-using Spearman use Buster, which forces a stab animation. It hits 3 enemies 3 times for nice damage. Polearm-using Spearman opt for Thresher (Fury) which is a stronger version of Slash Blast, which hits 6 monsters with a slash animation. As a Spearman, you'll always want to take the 'hybrid' path, which maxes both spear and polearm mastery and booster, allowing them to get both Buster and Thresher at full power. Another benefit in being hybrid is that polearms do more damage slashing, and slashing occurs more often, which allows for faster leveling during second job.
Dragon Knights are the partying Warrior class.

One handed or Two handed?
With swords, axes, and blunt weapons, you can use either one-handed or two-handed weapons. One-handed weapons have more stable, but much lower damage, while two-handed weapons are much stronger, but slower. One-handed weapons are generally cheaper, as they have lower demand. You can only use shields with one-handed weapons, but shields take off very little damage and help very little with shield attack scrolls being so rare and expensive. Many choose two-handed for the higher damage, as the difference in range is hardly noticeable from one-handed to two.
Basically two handed weapons are always the best choice.
