Well let me try to explain my reasoning. If you have sex when you get married the odds of staying together is higher. The reason why is because it's not something you've had before. It's the first time you've had it and it's with someone you truly love. If you have sex only when you get married it locks the bond between you and your spouse. Even when you love someone a lot you still shouldn't have sex until you're married. There are still things that can go wrong in the relationship. If you do have sex and you break up with your girlfriend, you're pretty much screwed.

It's not special anymore, that's why. You've already had it and you broke up with the girl you had it with. You need to stay with the girl for a long time, first. This gives you the bonds without just sex. Then you get married and have sex, which locks the bond.
