It was most likely the proxy thing I used to buy $4000 worth of tv stuff for a hotel in Beverly hills with a fake visa card to get nx....... Possibly.

No I am not IP blocked as they did not know my IP.

Hopefully this way it cannot be tracked back to me as that would be rather unfortunate.

But really, I did use a fake visa card number I found on the internet, in hindsight probably wasn't the best choice :/

Hmm.... with all of those things I never use my actual stuff, addresses, I use some random person. Phone Numbers/mobile Numbers, I use friends.... Credit Card numbers... I try and get lucky by making one up.... but when that doesn't work I give up...

Yeah, but the main reason I don't like them is because they make SO MUCH that's.... REALLY useful Cash Shop only items.... like the mastery books.... the problem with Nexon is that it is constantly trying to cash in on everything, like Earth Day,

I'm in favor of it because there are worse companies than Nexon. I'm glad that Nexon runs our game and not some others. Nexon IMO is above the standard F2P and cash shop industry company.

They still give people lots of problems though...

I tried to go the back way to play maple yesterday, it started to download the new patch. But when it finished, it wouldn't let me use the back way. SoI uninstalled and reinstalled. Then this morning I went to the website and clicked "Start Game". The hackshield loaded, but after it did maple stopped loading. So I can't access it from the back way or the website, cuz it starts to load for about 5 seconds but stops for whatever reason. I went to maple properties and tried to get a previous version also, but it tells me there are no previous versions...

It's because Maplestory is a complex game. Maplestory has a very big community. There are millions of players in America that play the game. It's not easy to make sure that all of these players get what they need. Nexon does make mistakes, yes, but that's not the thing. They invest in other games. They pay Nexon Korea a portion of what they make. They don't have millions of money to burn away. We are in a recession, you can't deny that. Nexon is saving their money, which is a wise choice. There are a lot of games that they plan on taking up in the future.

Don't forget that Maplestory is a 1.7 GB game, or around that, with tons of code. Yes, HackShield can be replaced, we all understand that. But, you have to realize that any company that makes this kind of money isn't full of people with big hearts. There will be people who want to corrupt the company. Nexon is big competition for other companies. They will try to stomp on Nexon. Also, we are playing this game for free. This game has an amazing amount of content for a free game.

Now, here's one question.

How many people are suffering from this one problem?
How many people are suffering from this other problem?

This is the question Nexon has to face every day. If 1/3 of the population suffers from this problem, does it make any sense to fix this other problem that only around 1/6 of the population has? No, it doesn't. So just wait until it's your turn to have light shined above your head.

Ryan, tl:dr. I gathered it was just general "NEXON'S WONDERFUL!" Preachy speech.

Bethany, you sure you downloaded the weird Nexon Game Thingy that you have to download for it to work. Cause you MUST be do SOMETHING wrong... as it seems to work for everyone else, so you can't exactly say it's Nexon's fault, if anything it might be your Firewall settings don't have Maplestory as a game allowed to Act as a server to the internet and stuff.

I clicked the download client from maplestory.nexon's own webpage. I saved and ran what they requested me to.

I don't know why it wont work, but I'm not the only one it doesn't work for.

For me, I not only had to have the game client, as when I ONLY had the game client, clicking the "Start Game" button, it would take me to a different page saying I need to download some Nexon Game Manager thing... and then install it.

When I click "Start Game", a white window pops up, begins to install something, but like after a second it stops and says there is an installation error. I don't understand why I would get this error since I get the copy of maple off their own website... I've tried downloading it wirelessly and while connected to the network, but neither work.

Yesterday, I managed to get maple to run on my desktop, only to find that my FTW account was hacked. Surprizingly enough, I don't feel upset at all over it... I don't know who did it, but I'm sure it's someone I know, cuz the hacker didn't bother to change my password or any info. To me, that means he/she knew I hadn't played that character in a long time, and knew that I was busy enough to not play maple for a while. It was hacked before maple changed the log on to the website, cuz I needed to enter my 4 digit number to access it, and there were no PIC's entered for the chars. But it doesn't really matter.

I think you're thinking into to it a bit too much.
So was it still your old password as well? Or was it your new password?
If it was your old, then the words "I told you so" pop into mind....
